How to Clean a Citrus Juicer

Would you prefer to find out the easiest and most effective method to wash a juicer like OH! Juice? Have a look at this thorough guide, and find out all you want to know about cleaning your cleansing appliance!

Not a great deal of items can compare to drinking refreshing fruit juice directly from a juicer. You may do so for health reasons, or you may prefer the juice.

The large volume of micronutrients secures many added benefits, like boosting immunity, getting your energy levels up, and enhancing your mood.

The operation of every juicer is contingent upon the condition of its elements. That’s the reason you need to take optimal maintenance of the apparatus cleaning is a massive area of the maintenance procedure.

Within the following guide, you will see all you will need to wash your juicer. Whether you have to manage tough stains, or you also would like to discover the most effective means of cleaning your apparatus, you have come to the perfect location!

What’s a Citrus Juicer and Why You Need It?

A juicer is a home appliance which may extract juice from fruits and veggies. The working procedure is contingent upon the juicer kind, which explains the reason why we frequently split them into two chief types — electrical and manual juicers.

Here are some additional primary juicer kinds:

Citrus juicers – you might also find these under the title reamers. Their job would be to extract juice from citrus fruits such as oranges, limes, lemons, etc..

Centrifugal – those devices utilize high rates along with a cutting blade to extract juice.

Masticating – unlike any preceding kind, these components operate at reduced rates and use an auger to squeeze out the juice of fruits and veggies. This permits them to keep more nourishment than centrifugal appliances.

Triturating – those use two augers, and also a similar functioning procedure to masticating cold press juicers.

It doesn’t matter which kind you select because the principal job of a juicer stays the same. It aims to simplify the procedure for extracting juice out of fruits and veggies and provide a tasty beverage immediately.

Why is a Clean Juicer Important for Your Health?

Juicer owners utilize these appliances regularly. A number of them favor morning java but a number of men and women use the device many times every day. That is clear because the nourishment from these juices improve our energy and general wellbeing.

By maintaining your juicer tidy, you keep its functionality in the maximum degree. This will let you find the nourishment every time you use this gadget. Furthermore, in the event the appliance is filthy, that might lead to digestion problems.

A Step by Step Guide to Cleaning a Juicer

Here’s an important tip – should you wash your juicer frequently, you’ll save yourself time and effort in the long term. It could be tiring to detach and detach everything every time you create your favorite juice but trust me, it’ll be worth your time.

Not just you are going to see to it that the appliance is pristine, but you also won’t need to take care of tough residue and stains as often. The normal cleaning procedure usually means that you will not have to deep-clean your juicer frequently.

In terms of the typical cleaning process, you’ll need the following:

  • A dish soap (preferably a mild one)
  • Water
  • Spatula
  • Two or Three soft clothing
  • Toothbrush (even though a nail brush may even do)
  • Soft brush

Step 1: Turn Away and Unplug the Appliance

You shouldn’t ever wash your juicer although it’s plugged into a power outlet. This may result in power surges and other issues that might lead to fires, injuries, and other accidents. Always ensure you sew the cord. Do not be afraid to double-check since it’s that important.

Step 2: Detach the Removable Components

The odds are at least a few elements of your own juicer are removable. This will be based on the appliance, however, take a peek at the guide, and eliminate any detachable pieces.

Measure 3: Throw Off the Pulp

While processing the juice, then the apparatus split the pulp into a specific container. It’s time to throw off that pulp today. The simplest way to do so is to utilize a spatula.

You wish to be comprehensive because the pulp may stick with the interior of the container. The spatula is the very best friend now, so be certain to leave no deposit.

Step 4: Wash Additional Components

You began the washing procedure together with all the pulp container, and it is time to continue with different elements. It’s critical to be as comprehensive as you can. My suggestion would be to use dish soap but be gentle. Some pieces are sensitive, and you also do not need any damages or scratches from hitting the parts against the sink.

Do not forget to wash each element thoroughly. You do not need to risk your own juice tasting or smelling like soap! Use warm or lukewarm water, and be patient till you proceed through all components. You wish to focus particular attention on your own internet strainer. The odds are some pulp is going to probably be stuck there.

Step 5: Utilize a Toothbrush to Wash the Components

Some producers can deliver a unique cleaning brush. Don’t hesitate to use it, but if you do not have one, then a toothbrush is a superb option. You may even use a nail brush, but remember it will now turn into your juicer brush.

Step 6: Wipe the Staying Components

It’s the right time to change your focus to the areas of the juicer which aren’t removable. It’s vital to be aware that you cannot wash these parts under water. That’s because you may hurt the engine of the apparatus, power cable, or other sensitive pieces.

But you may use a soft cloth or even a somewhat moist sponge. In my experience, it’s ideal to dampen soft fabric since it’s extremely effective in eliminating any residue, and it can not get too wet just like the sponge.

Now, it’s very important to wash the whole foundation and don’t miss one place. Be patient and use mild power to wash any debris and dust.

Step 7: Wait Until All Parts are Dry

It’s a good idea to have a drying rack beside your sink. This way, you are able to set all of the elements you’ve cleaned on the stand.

As an alternative, you can place a towel on the kitchen counter tops, and permit the components to dry. You also need to make sure to provide the foundation time to wash, but you do not need to put it to the towel or rack.

Step 8: Reassemble the Appliance

If you’re convinced that everything is dry, then you should begin reattaching the elements. If you’ve forgotten where a part belongs, consult the documentation.

That’s far better than attempting to induce a part in the wrong location because can damage the whole construction. When you get everything constructed, you can initiate the juicing process again whenever you desire.

The whole cleaning process should not require more than 10-15 minutes. It may take less or more than this, and it only depends upon the item.

Organizing A Lovely Party In The Driveway

Spring and summer are the perfect seasons for a garden or driveway party with your loved ones. Whether it’s an anniversary, an engagement, or simply a gathering of friends, an outdoor party is always welcome. In addition, organizing such a party is a great opportunity to show your friends what creative ideas you have.

Ensure the resin-bound driveway party comfort of your guests

If you want your guests to feel good, provide them with all the necessary comfort. If you organize the party in the middle of the day, when the temperatures are higher, prepare some shaded areas, with tarpaulins or umbrellas, but also some containers with sun protection. You can also offer your guests some fans, hats or sunglasses. If the party takes place in the evening, provide guests with some anti-insect solutions because mosquitoes could turn your party upside down.

Choose a suitable décor for your driveway party

Even in the case of outdoor parties, decor is very important. If the driveway paved by resin driveways in Sussex is large, improvise some sofas for your guests. Also, for a special atmosphere, hang garlands of lights from one side of the yard to the other.

For table decoration, opt for a few vases with seasonal flowers. At their base, you can place some pebbles, for a special design. You should avoid paper decorations, which, if not caught properly, can be blown away.

Prepare a seasonal menu suitable for a resin bound driveway

resin bound driveways

Try to prepare a seasonal menu. In the beginning, you can serve your guests with a soft drink of fruit: a lemonade with mint or lavender, a fresh apple or orange, or various smoothies. Craft beer can also be a good choice. As for the food, there is no point in complicating yourself too much. You can prepare grilled meat, and for vegetarians, some skewers with vegetables are ideal.

Prepare a playlist for the driveway party

One of the most important aspects of an outdoor party is the music. In general, it is quite difficult to please everyone, but you can make a playlist for all tastes, selecting different musical genres. Don’t forget to include some of your friends’ favorite songs and also some dance songs.

How to Eat Healthier Foods and Drinks

You eat healthily step by step. Choose healthy food as much as possible and try to avoid less healthy products. If possible, replace them with a healthier alternative.

Useful Tips in eating healthier foods and drinks

Vegetables and fruit
Fruit and vegetables are part of a healthy diet, especially because of the vitamins and fiber. The Nutrition Center recommends eating 250 grams of vegetables and 2 servings (200 grams) of fruit per day.

Tips:

  • Have fruit or vegetables as a snack. Cherry tomatoes or carrots are easy snacks!
  • Try making a salad for lunch.
  • Cover your bread with extra lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber or radish slices.

Opt for whole grain
Fiber is good for your digestion. If you want to eat more fiber, choose brown bread or whole meal bread. And take whole meal pasta, brown rice, whole meal couscous or quinoa. White rice, white bread and white pasta contain much less fiber.

Dairy
Take dairy daily. For example milk, cottage cheese, yogurt or cheese. If possible, opt for low-fat products. So semi-skimmed or skimmed milk, and cheese with less fat. Yogurt drinks usually contain sugar: try to avoid it.

Soft or liquid fats
Choose soft and liquid fats as much as possible. Replace butter and other ‘hard’ fats with liquid shortening or vegetable oil. Take olive oil or sunflower oil, for example. It contains unsaturated fats. Opting for unsaturated fat reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease.

Check the packaging to see which fats are in a product.

Drink enough
Try to drink at least 1.5 liters of fluids per day. Preferably choose drinks without extra calories: water, coffee and tea. Black and green tea are best – these drinks lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of stroke. The Nutrition Center advises everyone to drink 3 cups of green or black tea a day.

Coffee brewed with a filter is healthier than coffee brewed with a French press or Turkish coffee.

Eating legumes
Eat legumes once every week. Take brown beans, lentils or chickpeas for example.

Eating nuts
Take a small handful of nuts daily. Nuts contain many good fats, vitamins and minerals. Preferably choose unsalted nuts, otherwise you will soon get a lot of salt. It doesn’t matter much whether the nuts are roasted or not.

Eat fish
The Nutrition Center recommends eating fish once every week. Preferably fatty fish such as mackerel, herring, sardines or salmon.

Eat less meat
Eating meat every day is not necessary. The Nutrition Center advises not to eat more than 500 grams per week. Also be careful with processed meat, for example sausage, cold cuts and other smoked, salted, dried or seasoned meat. Eating 50 grams of processed meat per day increases the risk of colon cancer.

Less sugar
Reduce the use of sugar in your food and drinks. You can also use less and less sugar gradually, then you can get used to it slowly.

Less salt
Try to avoid products with a lot of salt added. Check the label to see how much salt (sodium) it contains. When cooking, you can also make sure that you add as little salt as possible. You can read more about it in tips for cooking .

Little to no alcohol
The Nutrition Center recommends not drinking alcohol, or at least not more than one glass per day.

Tips for changing eating habits
Do you want to eat healthier? Then you should consider a solutions for wellness. It is important to slowly make your eating habits healthier. You should make use of these useful tips.

Tips On Feeding A Baby While On Trip

Are you going out for a day or on vacation with your baby? Then you will have to feed your baby on the go. We will tell you everything about feeding your baby on the way so that you are well prepared.

Planning to buy a new car? If you’re having second thoughts about buying a car please visit ‘lemon laws michigan’ for more details.

If you go on holiday with your baby, you will soon have a lot of extra luggage. Packs of diapers, a high chair, a camp bed and lots of clothes. Besides thinking about what you will need for your baby during the holiday, there is also the journey. If you are in the car for a few hours or more, your baby will also need to receive one or more feedings while on the road. At the gas station you will find yourself a sandwich and a cup of coffee, but most likely nothing for your baby. The prepared formula does not last long. How do you keep things cool and how do you get them warm? In this article, you can read what you need to be able to feed your baby on the go.

Baby bottle feeding on the go
The prepared formula has a limited shelf life. Outside the fridge, this is an hour and if you keep it below 4 degrees (so for example in the fridge), it can be kept for a maximum of 8 hours. It is therefore best to prepare the bottle only when your baby starts to drink. If you are on the road, it is useful if you have a thermos bottle of boiled water, a bottle of cold water, the milk powder, and of course the bottle with you. If you bring boiled water in a thermos, you can mix this in the bottle with cold water until you have the right temperature for the bottle. You can of course also take the desired water temperature with you in the thermos, but the disadvantage is that the water in the thermos will also cool down over time. It is best to distribute the milk powder at home in the correct proportions (a special container to store the milk powder is easy for this, for example, a powder tower). A porridge bottle is also easy to prepare on the go in this way. Another solution is the ready-to-use formula. This is available in packs that you can keep out of the fridge, so you only need to heat it up.

Fruit and yogurt on the go
Both fruit and yogurt are available in handy squeeze packs. Of course, a baby cannot eat this independently. However, you can squeeze it into his / her mouth in small portions, which prevents a lot of mess. If your baby has never eaten this before, it is useful to try it a few times at home, so that your child gets used to it. For older babies, a banana is also a great solution for on the go. And if your child can chew independently, you can of course bring all kinds of fruit and a paring knife. Keep in mind that if your child eats while you are driving, you will not be able to reach it if he/she chokes.

Hot food and bread on the go
Bread is easy to take with you on the go. Just think about what you put on it. Everything you need to keep in the fridge at home has a limited shelf life in a warm car. Also, sweet toppings such as sprinkles and jam are not very tasty anymore when it has been warm for a long time, and it probably also gives a mess. A knife and a can of liverwurst or a bowl of cheese spread (the kind you can keep out of the fridge) can be a good solution. You only prepare the bread when your child starts eating. You can of course prepare warm food at home in advance and take it with you. You have to make sure that you can keep it cold on the way. It will be more practical to take the ready-made jars with vegetables and potatoes.

Hot and cold on the go
Most major gas stations have a microwave to heat up bottles and food. Both at these gas stations and at restaurants, it remains to be seen how clean this microwave is. It is therefore convenient to take a separate microwave container with you, in which the food can be closed and heated (the ready-made food jars must be in the microwave without a lid). Drinks can be kept both cold and warm in a thermos. To keep drinks (or fruit and yogurt) cold, you can also bring a cool box, or simply wrap two cooling elements in a towel along with the items. Finally, you can offer a cold drink by taking it frozen from home and drinking it when it has thawed. When eating or drinking on the road, a supply of wet wipes and bibs is of course indispensable with a baby.

Healthy Eating Tips for Those Who are Working From Home

You’re in a meeting and somehow walked into the kitchen. Next thing you know you’re having cookies and dry cereal out of the box. Or perhaps you got so caught up in a project that you quickly discern you haven’t had a thing all day. Or maybe the “I’ll just have a few chips at work” mentality turned into accidentally consuming the whole bag.

Don’t work in (or near) the pantry. Try to set up your table in a place that’s not close to the kitchen. You may be enticed to walk over and check the fridge (for the nth time) if it’s regularly in your line of vision. Bear in mind that the only time you’ll be in your pantry throughout the workday is when you’re preparing to have a planned bite or meal.

Think of your snack and meal times. Just as you plan out the remainder of your day (wake up, exercise, shower), organize when during the day you’re going to have a bite. If you know you like to eat lunch around the afternoon, plan for that. And if you like to have a meal early in the evening, plan for that as well. See food like you would in the office or even if you are just sewing at home.

Ensure you really eat. The moment you tap the ground running, err, working, it can be challenging to stop from eating. But it’s essential to know your hunger symptoms and discern that not having anything for several hours can impact your readiness efficiency. In addition, eating during the day can keep you from being a huge hangry mess once 5 o’clock rolls around.

Meal prep your foods. There’s something liberating about being able to mix up whatever you desire to have for lunch (and not opting to stand in line for the work microwave is a great reward). But for a few people, the choice is too much, particularly when it comes to workday lunches. If there is a chance, try to meal prep your foods in advace, just like you would on days you actually go to work.

POLLUTANTS IN FOOD

In some cases, they are used for easier processing, improve the color of the product or ensure a longer shelf life. But not everything that manufacturers come up with is also healthy for the consumer. Other substances enter the food chain through pollution or the use of sprays and fertilizers.

Overall, however, despite the many scandals involving acrylamide, nitrofen, BSE and pesticide exposure, consumers tend to overestimate the risks of food toxins. In any case, there is general agreement among all experts that excessive drinking, overeating or smoking poses far greater health risks than the current exposure to foreign and pollutants in our food.

Pollutants enter our food in different ways:

  • As residues from agricultural production (e.B. plant protection products and animal medicines)
  • As impurities from the environment (e.B. heavy metals)
  • Arise during processing or preparation, e.B. acrylamide during the overheating of starchy foods such as potatoes or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) during grilling
  • From packaging materials, cleaning agents and disinfectants, they are transferred to food (e.B. plasticizers in plastic)
  • Caused by incorrect storage, such as the aflatoxins formed by some moulds (these can cause liver cancer if the load is more frequent and severe)
  • Occur naturally in foods (e.B. solaanin in green potatoes or hydrogen cyanide in fruit kernels and beans).

PLANT PROTECTION PRODUCTS

A permanent topic is plant protection products (pesticides) in fruit and vegetables. Most of them are residues of fungicides (antifungal agents),which are often detectable in fungus-prone fruit varieties such as .B grapes. Weed killers (herbicides), the most commonly used pesticides, leave little to be reproduced. Pesticides are of medical concern because of their sometimes hormone-like effects in the human body. They are blamed, among other things, for fertility problems in men

In the past, residues of insecticides such as DDT or lindane have caused health problems such as nerve damage, cancer or malformations – they have been banned in Germany for many years, but are still permitted in other countries.

  • Eat seasonal fruits and vegetables.
  • Buy goods grown in Germany or
  • Switch to fruit and vegetables from controlled organic farming.

NITRATE AND NITRITE

Nitrate and nitrite enter food through the use of fertilizers as well as through the curing and smoking of meat. During digestion, frying and grilling, carcinogenic nitrosamines can be produced. Our tips:

  • Eat seasonal fruits and vegetables.
  • Do not eat too much nitrate or nitrite-rich foods (such as head and field lettuce, spinach, cassler or smoked bacon).
  • Store lettuce and vegetables in the refrigerator (especially for salads, the nitrate content increases with the length of storage, *therefore do not store for more than 3 days).
  • Blanch vegetables before eating and pour the water away.

VETERINARY MEDICINES

Some animal species get into stress when too many individuals are kept in a small space. Diseases also spread more easily. As a result, more and more veterinary medicines such as antibiotics, beta-blockers or sedatives are increasingly being used in mass animal husbandry, not only in pigs, cattle and chickens, but also in aquaculture of salmon or trout farming. Critics fear they will lead to allergies or antibiotic resistance in humans. After the use of medicines in animals, a waiting period is therefore required before the animal can be killed.

HEAVY METALS

Heavy metals such as lead, cadmium or mercury lead to poisoning if we absorb too much of them. However, normal eating habits do not endanger health. Due to the improved environmental protection, the heavy metal pollution in air, water and soil is continuously decreasing, which is also noticeable in food. Our tips:

  • Innards, forest mushrooms (especially the slats), fish from coastal areas or large rivers (particularly predatory fish such as pike or halibut) and seafood are particularly heavy metal.
  • Wash or peel the fruit and vegetables thoroughly, remove the outer leaves with the salad and cabbage.

FAST FOOD

Burgers, pizza and fries – cleverly used, so-called fast food can also have its place in a healthy diet.

“Eating fast” easily becomes a thickener

Fast food, the “food fast” is becoming more and more popular. In children, this increases with age: young people eat more fast food than school children and they eat more than preschoolers. The offer ranges from kebab, french fries, roast sausages, hamburgers to pizza in all variations. Soft drinks, sweetened soft drinks such as cola, lemonade or milkshakes, are also included. Whether on hand standing and walking or enjoying in a fast food restaurant, fast food is today for many children and adults the food for in between.

It is considered to be readily available, tasty and uncomplicated. However, many of these dishes contain a lot of calories and fat and also provide hardly any valuable nutrients. If children eat too much and too often, there is a risk that they will hardly notice when they are full or hungry, and they will quickly increase unintentionally.

Instead of bans: combine well and balance

Fast food is now ubiquitous. Rejecting it altogether would probably only make it more interesting and enticing for children. Once or twice a week a fast food dish can also be reconciled with a balanced diet, if you take a few things into account:

The combination: Try to combine the offers in the fast food restaurant with your child in a meaningful way. For example, a meal can consist of a hamburger and fruit or a slice of pizza with a salad – so always a valuable component combined with a less valuable one. Instead of soft drinks, which provide an unnecessarily large number of calories, it is better to choose calorie-free drinks, such as mineral water.

Compensation: It also makes sense to use the other meals of the day as compensation. A fast food dish as a lunch can be balanced with a healthy breakfast and dinner, for example with raw vegetables and fruit, whole meal bread and muesli. This is also good for the teeth: if you need to chew well, more saliva forms in the mouth, which helps to protect the teeth from tooth decay. Calorie intake: With a reasonable choice, you can easily save a lot of calories.

For example, a hamburger has half as many calories as a larger burger and tastes just as good to many children. For fries or even a whole menu, ordering the smaller portion helps to save unnecessary calories.
As far as energy content is concerned, such a fast food meal for children is usually always a main meal and not a
snack. Your child should therefore enjoy these meals in peace and consciousness as the main meal. The often very large calorie intake despite careful selection can make up for it by moving and exercising a lot. You can check out valorant improvement to boost your rank in Valorant.

Fast food at home: cheaper and healthier

Make your private fast food restaurant at home: hamburgers made from whole meal rolls, salad and meatballs, fries from the oven with colorful raw food, a pizza made from whole meal flour or tortillas with turkey breast strips and vegetables are delicious, cheaper and healthy alternatives. In addition to the food itself, it is often also the unconventional table manners in the fast-food restaurant or in the snack bar that exert their special charm on children and young people. With the common fast food meal at home, you should calmly “press an eye” and allow the food with fingers, without plates and cutlery.

IS LATE DINNER UNHEALTHY?

Whether weight gain or decrease is influenced by a late dinner is not scientifically proven. The reason for the assumption that late eating could increase is related to insulin release. Whenever you eat something, blood sugar levels in your body rise and insulin is released. This means that if you eat your supper just before bed, your blood sugar level will rise again. Consequently, insulin is also released into your body, which can promote fat build-up during sleep. If you have a problem sleeping, maybe its your mattress.

But maybe you know that you sleep worse with a full stomach. Because if you eat something just before bed, your stomach starts working again. As you try to sleep, your stomach digests your late dinner, which makes you worse off. If this is the case, you should simply find out for yourself when is the best time for your dinner. To be on the safe side, eat something for the last time about two hours before bedtime. So your stomach has enough time to digest your supper and you come to rest more easily.

Why you can increase by a late dinner

The calorie count of carbohydrates, fats and proteins always remains the same. That means just because you’re eating an ice cream in the evening, for example, the number of calories you’re eating doesn’t double. Weight gain is always associated with a calorie surplus. That is, if you eat more calories a day than you consume, you gain body weight. The same is true the other way around: if you eat fewer calories than you consume during the day, your body weight will be reduced. If you want to break down your body fat, read our article about proper weight loss to celebrate long-term decline successes.

A late dinner can subconsciously add more calories a day and end up with a calorie surplus. To find out, you can watch yourself for a whole day. Do you come home after work, are a bit hungry, but is it too early for you to have dinner? Then it may be that you start to snack quite subconsciously. In this case, you should simply pull your dinner forward for a few hours. Even in the evening on the couch we like to eat some little things. Especially the snacks in front of the TV, quickly lead to a calorie surplus. How many times have it happened to you that you only wanted to eat a little piece of chocolate and in the end you plastered the whole table?

Omit dinner

Are you considering leaving out the dinner altogether? That’s okay as long as you don’t go to bed hungry. For example, if you have eaten late at noon and are still full in the evening, you can go to bed without dinner. Just treat yourself to an extra large breakfast the next morning. Under no circumstances should you omit the supper and then starve. If you want to lose weight, make sure you eat between 300 and 500 fewer calories per day. Especially protein-rich foods such as quark, legumes or eggs will keep you full for a long time.

Eating and Riding a Motorcycle

A full stomach doesn’t like to navigate: 2Wheels tells you what your body needs on long tours.

Follow the steps in these four tips to keep the fun going on long road trips using your motorcycle.

The night before
Think in advance how long the stages should be. The evening before, it is better to avoid fatty foods such as roast pork and excessive alcohol. Instead, try to switch to less stressful, but nutritious, food. Replace white flour products with polyunsaturated carbohydrates like those found in whole grains. You don’t necessarily have to do without hearty food; but reduce the fried potato side dish.

Tour breakfast
In order to properly preheat the engine, the body needs the right foundation as a starting aid. A breakfast rich in fiber and vitamins gives you plenty of energy to start the day. Protein also helps ward off food cravings. In this way, early stops on the journey can be avoided. Toast with honey does not put a strain on the body, but it only shoots up the blood sugar level for a short time. The rapid decline creates an increased need for sugary foods. The ideal combination for breakfast is a mixture of wholesome carbohydrates and protein.

On the route
Nothing works without fuel and navigator like ‘ choosing the best GPS for motorcycles ‘ . This applies not only to the motorcycle, but also to the human body and destination. And no matter how much fun riding a motorcycle is: It’s also physically and mentally demanding. After all, the body has to control the machine for several hours at a time and withstand the wind; the mind has to stay focused in traffic and keep its bearings. Fortunately, the most important rule on a tour is a very simple one: drink, this mantra is so important that you could easily stick it on your tank. It looks stupid, but that’s why you should keep it in mind. Because during a long trip you sweat more than you usually think; especially of course when the sun is beating down on the asphalt. On hot days, a person releases up to half a liter of fluid through the sweat glands – every hour. The body loses important minerals with sweat. The deficiency can manifest itself in stomach problems, difficulty concentrating, headaches and muscle cramps. Mineral-rich drinks such as juice spritzers are recommended for prevention. Alcohol-free beer also contains a large number of minerals and vitamins that replenish the mineral reserves – but please do not overdose: Too much of it also burdens the stomach. It is advisable to drink in small quantities, for example, to drink about 0.2 liters of liquid every hour. If you want to combine drinking with food, you should drink fruit buttermilk. The proteins it contains keep you full for a long time. Unsweetened granola bars provide carbohydrates. Trail mix is also a great snack for on the go. The nuts contain healthy fats and the vitamin B maintains the ability to concentrate.

Food to Go on a Motorcycle Trip. What You Need to Know Is Explained in This Video.

After the tour
You arrive at your destination in the evening, exhausted and hungry. It’s better to drink a large spritzer or an isotonic drink first to replenish carbohydrate stores. Start with salads and then choose the best lean meat and fish in combination with small amounts of pasta or rice. Vegetables and fruits help to revitalize your weakened immune system. If there is another strenuous stage on the plan the next day, you should again avoid eating too late.

ARE SMOOTHIES REALLY THAT HEALTHY?

Smoothies are considered healthy. Many people drink the juices from pureed fruit or vegetables every day. But the popular drinks often contain more sugar than cola – up to 15 grams per 100 milliliters. That equates to about five sugar cubes. The maximum amount of 25 grams of sugar per day recommended by the World Health Organization is often exceeded with a smoothie. Many blends are also very high in calories because they contain a lot of sweet banana.

No specifications for manufacturers

The term “smoothie” is not protected. There is no definition of what must be included in the drink. The German Society for Nutrition demands that smoothies should consist of at least half of fruit or vegetables in pieces or puree. But manufacturers don’t have to stick to that. There are also no limit values for residues of plant protection products for finished products – but for individual vegetables and fruits. In Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, food inspectors found five out of 19 smoothies checked in the summer of 2019. The trendy product can enrich the daily diet, but should not be an exclusive substitute for fresh fruit and vegetables, according to the State Food Safety Office.

Preventing diseases with green smoothies

So there is a strong reason to make smoothies yourself – preferably from organic ingredients. Green smoothies, which consist of little fruit and lots of green vegetables, are especially healthy. They can help prevent various diseases, for example:

  • Heart attack and stroke due to atherosclerosis
  • Rheumatic diseases
  • Osteoporosis

If you want to benefit from green smoothies, you should eat them instead of a meal – not in addition. Smoothies contain many calories that make you fat along with a regular meal.

Ingredients for green smoothies

The ingredients for green smoothies are, for example, spinach, lettuce and cucumber, as well as herbs, nettles or the green of carrots and radishes. They are rich in bitter substances and antioxidants. The salad and leafy green of vegetables contain up to three times as much iron and magnesium and up to seven times as much vitamin C as in the tubers themselves. For dilution, water should be used instead of juice, as juices contain a lot of sugar.

Tips for preparation

A powerful mixing device is important for the preparation. The rule of thumb for a smoothie is to mix 200 to 300 grams of leafy green or salad with fruit, some water and lemon juice, and some olive oil or almond mousse. Then top up with 0.5 liters of water and the juice of half a lemon. Puree for about two minutes at the highest level, dilute if necessary and season with spices.

Puree fills up

If you feel that you are not fed up with drinking alone, you can prepare smoothies as puree. Use less water and more avocado or yoghurt when mixing.

DIET FOR HAIR LOSS

Hair loss can have various causes. Incorrect and nutrient-poor diet is involved in the development of hair loss. Although in some cases the wrong diet is not the main cause of hair loss, it can well be the cause of that disease or malfunction in the organism, which ultimately leads to hair loss.

Hair loss indicates problems in the digestive system

In women, for example, hair loss may indicate a problem in the digestive system. In the case of a lack of stomach acid or a damaged intestinal flora, the nutrient absorption is far from optimal. The food cannot be processed properly and much-needed nutrients are excreted. The result is a lack of minerals, vitamins and trace elements.

Stomach acid deficiency can be recognized by the following symptoms: upper abdominal bloating and feeling full immediately after a meal, heartburn (so is not necessarily a sign of too much stomach acid), diarrhea or constipation, brittle or soft fingernails, acne also in adulthood, iron deficiency, chronic gastrointestinal infections and parasite or fungal infestation.

High-fat food promotes hair loss

Men can counteract baldness by changing their diet from high-fat to low-fat or carefully choosing the type of fats consumed. Some scientists claim that the process of balding typical for many men is due to increased testosterone levels. A diet that contains a lot of fat and meat increases testosterone levels. This, in turn, may have a nocturnal effect on the hair follicles.

In Japan, it was observed that baldness was very rare before the Second World War. At that time, the diet was still extremely healthy and low in fat. Meanwhile, a more Western and therefore high-fat diet is also widespread among Japanese men – and suddenly you see many men with bald ness or light hair. A low-fat diet can dramatically slow hair loss. However, in order to stop it completely and then stimulate the growth of new hair, a complete dietary change is required.

In case of thyroid dysfunction, hair loss may occur

If the thyroid gland does not function properly, hair loss may occur. However, a glandular disorder in particular can be influenced extremely positively with a proper, healthy diet. If your hair loss is due to thyroid malfunction, eat foods that contain a lot of vitamin A and iodine (this only in case of specific iodine deficiency).

For the optimal supply of vitamin A, eat vegetables such as carrots and spinach, prepared with some crystal salt and natural, cold-pressed organic oils such as linseed oil, hemp oil, or walnut oil. However, do not take vitamin A pills, as such supplements can cause an overdose of vitamin A and can accelerate such hair loss. Ways to Prevent a Fire in the Kitchen When Cooking Food

The kitchen is not only the place where pancakes are baked, sandwiches are toasted and stews are simmering. It is also the place where many fires in the home start.

5 tips to prevent fire in the kitchen

1. Do not run away while cooking
Running away while cooking is asking for trouble. Still, there are plenty of people who put pans on the fire and watch TV or preheat the oven while getting a frozen pizza. Staying in the kitchen while you are cooking means that not only the chance of a house fire is much smaller, but also the chance that your food will go to waste.

2. Clean the toaster regularly
There’s nothing like a fresh-out-of-the-toaster sandwich. This clever gadget has only one flaw: no matter how carefully you treat it, crumbs will eventually collect inside. Your toaster will catch fire if these crumbs catch fire. And this has the potential to be disastrous. Cleaning the toaster on a daily basis is thus a good idea.

3. Do not use a fire blanket when there is a flame in the pan
The Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) discovered that a fire blanket is of no use in the event of a flame in the pan and a deep-frying fire . Extinguishing with water is also a bad idea, because it will cause an explosion. The advice is to cover the burning pan with a suitable lid or frying pan and turn off the heat source. Do not remove the lid from the pan until it has cooled down completely.

4. Replace appliances with damaged cords
Many electrical appliances are used in most kitchens, from hand blenders to sandwich makers. All equally handy, but also fire risk. You must be especially careful with old appliances. Often the wires are exposed at the plug or some copper-colored wire squeaks out. If you continue to use these devices, you run the risk of a short circuit. As a consequence, check electrical wires like ‘electrician joondalup‘ to see if the cables can be replaced or if new devices are needed.

For Your Safety, You Must Watch These Kitchen Outlet Rules

5. Give the extractor a good polish
If the hood is not cleaned regularly, the filter will become saturated. The result: a greasy layer over the grid, which reduces the suction power and increases the risk of fire. A small flame is enough for an extractor hood on fire. Within 3 minutes, such a burning extractor hood can turn your house into a conflagration. Here you can read how your extractor hood is sparkling clean in no time.

The kitchen is one of the most dangerous places in the house , according to research by the Fire Service Academy. 60% of the fatal fires in the home since 2018 were caused by “human actions”. Carelessness of people is the number 1 priority, followed by accidents during cooking.

Cigarettes’ in Gaining Weight

Food and drink
Healthy eating and drinking is always important for your body, but can also contribute positively to your smoking cessation. You will get just that little bit of extra energy, forget your urge for a cigarette or you will be able to combat your restless feeling better. Of course there is always a risk of gaining some pounds.

Tips to avoid gaining weight

Smokers often refrain from quitting because they are afraid they will put on a lot of pounds quickly. But is that really so? Does your body become hopelessly out of balance when you quit smoking? You don’t have to, as long as you keep a few simple things in mind.

The health benefits of quitting smoking far outweigh the disadvantage of small weight gain. In addition, smoking has adverse effects on your appearance.

  • Smoking increases your energy consumption and curbs your appetite. When you quit smoking, a number of changes can occur in your body. As a result, you will sometimes eat a little more and you may gain a few kilos. These discomforts usually disappear 6 months after smoking cessation.
  • Try to eat a varied diet and spread your meals. Do not skip a meal and eat three healthy or low-calorie snacks.
  • You may feel more like sweets, and you often feel the strong need to put something in your mouth, to nibble. You can then eat a lot of fruit and vegetables, drink water, or eat low-fat yogurt and other low-fat dairy products.
  • Eat plenty of legumes and starchy, whole and whole grains. These ensure that you are less hungry again.
  • If you always have something on hand, you will avoid reaching for candy for lack of a cigarette. Think of a computer game, a crossword puzzle, a small job, a short shower, etc. For tips on nutrition and exercise, you can also visit the site the Flemish Institute for Healthy Living .
  • Don’t dare to quit smoking and lose weight at the same time. Then you make it very difficult for yourself. If you focus on quitting smoking first, while not putting on extra pounds, you can then focus on your weight problem.

Advice on the use of alcohol

Drinking alcohol can make it more difficult to quit smoking. Alcohol will make you feel fewer inhibitions, making it easier to reach for a cigarette like ‘ Best Cigars for Under $10 ‘ . Drinking alcohol can also trigger smoking because the two often went together.

Less coffee

Nicotine also has an effect on the caffeine level in your blood, because the substance ensures that caffeine is broken down more quickly. Caffeine is mainly found in coffee, tea, cola and energy drinks. If you quit smoking and continue to drink as much cola or coffee as before, your caffeine levels will be much higher.

It is advisable to halve your daily portion of caffeinated drinks when you stop smoking. This can be done by simply drinking less coffee or cola. You can also replace your coffee with tea or decaffeinated coffee and cola, for example. It is better not to quit your caffeinated drink altogether as this can cause withdrawal symptoms.

HEALTH BENEFITS OF FRUITS AND VEGETABLES

Fruits and vegetables are healthy. We get that as children. But why? Fruits and vegetables contain fiber, vitamins and numerous minerals, but a low energy density. Another component is the phytochemicals. They make fruit and vegetables so valuable and healthy. More than 100,000 of these plant substances are known and they perform a wide variety of functions in the plant itself. Some are responsible for the beautiful color, some protect against predators and others regulate the growth of the plant.

Real good mood food

In an English study published in the British Journal of Health Psychology, about 300 students kept an online diary of their mood and eating habits. In particular, fruit, vegetables, biscuits, crisps and cakes were queried. There was a clear correlation between the amount of fruit and vegetables and the positive feelings. When the students ate more fruits and vegetables, they felt calmer, happier and had more energy afterwards (and sometimes the next day). This link could not be found for sweet and fatty.

For example, you can achieve the “therapeutic” vegetable-fruit dose if you eat a cup of raspberries in the morning, a salad at noon, a handful of raw food in the afternoon and a dish of vegetables in the evening. The research team was not sure whether it was just about the nutrients of fruit and vegetables or whether the evaluation played a role: that we feel better because we have eaten a healthy diet. You have the opportunity to try it yourself. Fruits and vegetables always taste and you can never eat too much of them.

Fruits and vegetables prevent disease

For years, nutrition advice has been pouring in from all sides. For example, to protect against cancer, we should eat a lot of fruit and vegetables, use olive oil for the heart’s sake, and omit animal fat because it clogs the arteries. But new studies are fueling doubts about these recommendations. So what is true? There are only two dietary rules that are comprehensive and sustainable: those who eat nothing starve to death. If you eat too much, you get fat. Everything else is constantly in flux. There is something true about some rules, while others are completely out of the blue. Some are overdone, others are not impressive enough.

Many studies have now shown that fruit and vegetables can prevent certain diseases. The phytochemicals, absorbed by fruit and vegetables, can mainly reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease. Fruit and vegetables are also said to have a positive effect on certain cancers. Many of the phytochemicals have a positive effect on our cholesterol levels, support the functions of our blood vessels, have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. For a healthy diet, try to absorb as many of the phytonutrients as possible. For this purpose, it is recommended to integrate legumes, nuts and seeds into the daily dishes.

What makes fruit and vegetables so valuable?

The beneficial effects of a plant-focused diet can already be seen within a few weeks on the appearance of your skin. In addition, the plant diet leads to positive changes in risk factors such as weight loss, lower blood pressure or improved blood lipid levels. Fruits, vegetables, legumes and nuts not only provide your body with vitamins and minerals, but also with phytonutrients. Unlike vitamins and minerals, they are not essential for life, but they still perform important tasks in your body.

Cardiovascular diseases: carrots and tomato juice

People who eat a lot of leafy vegetables are less likely to suffer from cardiovascular problems. This is the conclusion reached by scientists from the University of Florence, Italy, in 2011 after observing the lifestyle and eating habits of 30,000 study participants over eight years. More specifically, the risk was reduced by 46 percent in the group with the highest consumption (with a daily vegetable consumption of more than 300 grams) compared to the group with the lowest consumption, i.e. in subjects who ate only 100 grams of green vegetables or less daily.

Healthy Eating Doesn’t Save a Smoker

WHY HEALTHY EATING DOESN’T SAVE A SMOKER

BILTHOVEN – Smokers who regularly eat fruit and vegetables are more likely to develop colon cancer than smokers who don’t.

This is the conclusion of the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) in Bilthoven on the basis of a major European study in which the institute participated. The RIVM advises smokers to stop smoking and to continue to eat enough fruit and vegetables. The institute does not choose to advise smokers to stop eating fruit and vegetables. According to a spokesman for the RIVM, this would be even more harmful to their health.

Experts advise people to eat at least two hundred grams of vegetables per day and at least two pieces of fruit. According to the researchers, it appears that the risk of colon cancer decreases more sharply as people eat more fruit and vegetables. If people eat six hundred grams of fruit and vegetables a day, they have a fifth to a quarter less risk of colon cancer.

Colon cancer is, after skin cancer, the most common cancer in the Netherlands. About eleven thousand people in the Netherlands are diagnosed with the diagnosis every year. For the European survey, 500,000 Europeans were questioned about their lifestyle. After that they were followed for about 8.5 years.

THEN WHAT ARE THE RECOMMENDED MENU FOR SMOKERS

Smoking increases the risk of lung cancer, ischemic heart disease, obstructive lung disease, and may be a risk factor for many cancers, including pharyngeal cancer and esophageal cancer. In recent years, the number of male smokers has been declining, but the number of female smokers is increasing and the age is declining, which is a disturbing situation.

Studies have shown that smoking a cigarette reduces the amount of vitamin C in the blood by half. This vitamin C plays an important role in increasing immunity and resistance in the body and suppressing cancer. The importance of vitamin C can be seen in the fact that the sixth revision of nutritional requirements raised the target intake of vitamin C from 50 mg to 100 mg. Smoking drastically reduces vitamin C, which protects the body, which weakens the body’s resistance and makes it more susceptible to illness. Considering the rough skin and adverse effects on the floatation, smoking is not recommended for women.

However, if you are a smoker who cannot stop here is ‘ Best Cigars for Under $10 ‘ for you and please eat vegetables, fruits, and seaweed that are high in vitamin C and β-carotene. Vegetable juice and tomato juice are also effective when you can’t eat easily. Also, surprisingly, potatoes and sweet potatoes have a lot of vitamin C and are resistant to heating, so they can be taken into the body efficiently. If you eat the “mochimochi potato” introduced this time, which uses “new potatoes” with plenty of vitamin C, you may not be able to stop this mysterious texture than tobacco.

WHY DO PEOPLE POST PICTURES OF THEIR FOOD?

Do you take a photo of your food before eating? Social medias like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and even TikTok is full with pictures of food such as coffee, hamburgers and cakes. Push your TikTok career to the top, buy TikTok likes. Do you have an idea what’s behind it? And what’s next for food? The Austrian trend researcher and nutritionist Hanni Rützler has answers.

What is “Food Porn”?

This describes a phenomenon that people present themselves about what they eat and communicate to the outside world. Food has really become a phenomenon with which one can communicate one’s own values, preferences and orientations.

Why do people upload pictures of their food on the Internet?

This is an absolute zeitgeist phenomenon. One could now make a long way: the laid table has always been an expression of the times. There is a beautiful analysis of what the disciples had on the table at the last meal: over the centuries, this has changed significantly. At the moment, all this is very individualized. Food is a wonderful way to express individuality.

What is individual about the image of a coffee cup with milk foam?

It’s also about the connected we. Take the latte macchiato. It has become a code of a very specific lifestyle. In the past, it was fashion codes or certain musical styles that expressed one’s individuality and at the same time his belonging to certain groups. Today it is food and drink. If you order a latte macchiato or ceviche (a Peruvian specialty) today, you always signal who you want to be.

What else can come next for the mega-theme of food?

Globalization has been on the rise in cities for some time, now at a lower level. We are no longer talking about Chinese or Italian, but about specific regions. At the same time, a new self-confidence is reflected: especially in Latin American cuisine, such as in Peru. With the economic development came the self-confidence. This is reflected in the pride of your own kitchen. They don’t want to be all Europeans or Americans. They want their cuisine, their tradition, their spice combination. On the subject of food trucks: We have many male lateral entrants, autodidacts, for which cooking has become a sensual action. Food is something wonderfully sensual.

Photographed food should taste better

In addition, US researchers want to find that photographed food tastes better. This is the result of a 2016 research paper published in the Journal of Consumer Marketing. The study found that meals shared online are tastier. In addition, the renunciation of not photographing your food ensures that something is missing. This makes the meal taste worse.

Maintaining Food Safety and Cleanliness

Food and drink
Food poisoning is common. Usually it is harmless with some diarrhea and stomach pains. But things can turn out worse for vulnerable groups. They can become very ill or sometimes even die. And that while food poisoning can generally be prevented by working hygienically.

HACCP stands for ‘Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points’: analysis of the hazards and the critical control points in the production process. HACCP is a structured method to eliminate, prevent or reduce all relevant hazards in foodstuffs to an acceptable level. HACCP comprises 7 basic principles. Based on these principles, organizations must draw up their own hygiene guidelines.

Important points for attention for home care and small-scale living for you.

To keep

  • Pay attention to the expiration date. Best before; Use-by date = to be used until.
  • When opening products, write down the opening date on the packaging.
  • Food should be kept in the correct place. Depending on the agent: dry, dark, in the refrigerator or in the freezer.
  • Especially keep a close eye on meat products. The chance of contamination and spoilage of this is relatively high.
  • Cover unpackaged foods tightly with foil.
  • Check every time temperature of the refrigerator if it is in a good condition. The required temperature is between 3 and 7 ° C.
  • Return products to the refrigerator immediately after use.

For restaurants in institutions, there are  more rules apply, which are described in Nutrition Center.

Prepare

  • Wash your hands before you start cooking and also if you have touched raw meat or smoked.
  • Make certain that no hairs slip into the meal. Put up long hair or wear it in a ponytail or a cap.
  • Do not remove products from the refrigerator until just before preparation. Thaw products in the refrigerator and not at room temperature.
  • Heat everything well to a core temperature of above 75 ° C. Ensure that the meat has been thoroughly baked.
  • Raw meat and meat wet can contain many germs. Therefore always ensure a strict separation between raw and cooked meat, wash your hands after touching raw meat and clean materials such as knives and kitchen materials. Use different cutting boards for vegetables and meat and wash them thoroughly in the meantime and afterwards, preferably in the dishwasher.
  • Avoid foods that are known to easily cause food poisoning: raw foods, crustaceans and shellfish that are not heated after purchase, soft-boiled or soft-fried eggs.
  • Wash raw vegetables well and keep in the fridge until ready to use.
  • Serve food immediately after preparation.

THINGS YOU CERTAINLY DIDN’T KNOW ABOUT PLANE FOOD

Airplane food divides minds: some love it, others see it as just a welcome distraction from travel stress. All the facts about airplane food. Also, if you love flying and drones, make sure to visit ‘Let’s Fly Wisely‘.

Airplane eating often improves the mood of passengers traveling. But why do many people like to drink tomato juice on board? And what should you not eat on a plane?

We eat much more on the plane than usual

Due to the noise level on the plane, the food tastes better – sounds weird, but it’s like this: volume can suppress our sense of sweet and salty. As a result, we eat more on board and consume about 20 percent more sugar than usual, so we can compensate for the loss of sweet taste.

The suppression of sweet and salty also enhances our fifth taste, which is called umami. This is the protein-heavy taste we perceive with parmesan, mushrooms or anchovies.

Do not drink tea or coffee on board an aircraft

The water for tea and coffee often comes from the faucet on the plane, not from a bottle. According to a sample of 158 aircraft, 13 percent of the water systems tested contained coliform bacteria. Two of the aircraft tested even found dangerous coliform bacteria in the water.

It’s better not to order Coke on a plane

“Boeing belly” is the phenomenon: above the clouds we suffer much more from bloating than at the bottom of the ground. This is due to the reduced air pressure. Gases accumulate in the intestine from an altitude of about 3,500 meters. The higher the plane rises, the greater the need to drain air. Added to this is the lack of exercise and the food that does its part.

Even flight attendants aren’t thrilled when you order Cola Light on board. This is the reason that Cola Light foams particularly strongly in the aircraft when pouring in.

Airplane food is heavily spiced

The dry air on board an aircraft makes the nose dry, so we can no longer smell and taste as good. Therefore, aircraft dishes are always very strongly seasoned.

Plane food is not cooked on the plane

Traditional aircraft food is already prepared by chefs at the respective airport. The finished food is then packed and distributed in the planes. It just needs to be warmed up there.

Tomato juice tastes particularly good on the plane

“On the ground, tomato juice smells slightly musty and tastes lax”. This is how Volker Scheible, Product Manager Bordservice and Lounges at Lufthansa, explains. “On board, it appears harmoniously, tends to taste sweet and fruity and distinctly like tomatoes.”

Researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics IBP in Holzkirchen have been able to prove scientifically that tomato juice tastes better in an airplane. The reason: In an airplane at an altitude of about 10,000 meters, the taste buds perceive differently because of the different air pressure and the lower humidity. The fruity aroma of the tomato juice comes out particularly well there. But you have to salt the juice well, because you don’t taste salt as much.

How Safe is the Food We Eat?

We often hear and read that there are substances in our food that are harmful or that can make us sick. But is that actually the case? Can our food contain substances that cause cancer?

Strict control over our food

The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) is an organization of the European Union that provides independent advice on food safety. They do this on the basis of scientific research. These recommendations form the basis of European rules and laws in the field of food safety.

In the Netherlands, the Dutch Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA) monitors food safety. They also check whether the laws regarding food safety are being complied with. The NVWA looks at both harmful substances in our food and pathogens such as bad bacteria. If a product is not safe, the NVWA will remove the product from the store.

In recent years, products have been regularly removed from the store. This shows that the safety of our food is taken into account. In addition, the ways to check that products are safe are getting better and better. As a result, harmful substances are noticed earlier. You can therefore assume that everything is done to ensure that the food you buy in the store is safe.

Watch: Food Safety Facts You Should Be Aware Of

Important role for the liver

Each product can contain both good and less good substances. It is therefore important to vary your food and drink. The less good substances are only harmful in a certain amount. This amount differs per fabric, but also depends, for example, on the size of your body.

Your body has a number of ways to neutralize less beneficial substances. This will cause liver failure. Subsequently, the substance is removed from your body through your urine or feces.

Example: heavy metals in fatty fish
Fatty fish contain healthy fatty acids, which are important for our brains, among other things. But fatty fish can also contain heavy metals. That is why the advice is not to eat fatty fish more than once a week, then it is safe.

Example: nitrite in green vegetables
Green vegetables are very healthy because they contain a lot of vitamins, minerals and fiber. But green vegetables also contain nitrate, which is converted by the body into nitrite. If we ingest too much nitrite, this increases the risk of cancer. When eating normal portions of green vegetables (about 250 grams of vegetables per day) you do not consume dangerous amounts.

The health benefits of eating fatty fish and green vegetables far outweigh the potential risks in these examples.

Nowadays you need to make sure what is mixed in your food, whether it is safe or not, like ‘Comment Wayfaircard‘ here you can see the latest reviews about Food.

How Can Your Children Eat Better

TIPS FOR DIETARY EDUCATION FOR YOUR CHILD

Don’t punish your child if he doesn’t finish his plate
Punishment can cause aversion: your child associates a negative feeling with healthy eating. Something that is precisely not the intention. Also, don’t turn it into a circus by applauding when your toddler takes a bite of his food. Teach your child that eating their food is normal.

Let your child control how much he eats
It is okay if your child eats a little worse for a while. In fact, it is almost to be expected as soon as the word ‘no’ appears in the toddler phase. By forcing food on your child, he learns not to listen to his feeling of fullness. Something that is important and can prevent obesity in the future .

Small portions on a divided plate
A board with boxes can also help. And one by one empty a compartment or alternately eating something from each compartment, how nice is that! Let your child also brag for himself. And is your child still hungry afterwards? Then he can get some more.

Watch the Video How to Create a Healthy Plate

Eat and drink at regular times
Have breakfast, lunch and a warm meal. It is precisely these three fixed eating moments that ensure that your child does not want to eat and drink all day long. Of course, an occasional snack is not a bad thing. But stick to a maximum of four times and preferably not just before eating.

Prohibition is counterproductive, borders do not
If you want to do something and it is absolutely not allowed, you do it anyway. Prohibiting candy and biscuits is often counterproductive. Exercising a certain degree of control is important.

Together at the table!
Eating together at the table is good for your child’s health and development. It is also good for the language development of small children. Yet for busy families it appears to be a challenge to find time to eat together.

No TV, cell phone or iPad
It is already difficult for adults to focus when the television is on or a tablet is on the table, let alone for stimulus-sensitive children. Eat with attention yourself and give your child attention while eating.

Good example is good to follow
Your child looks at your behavior; what and when you eat. If you eat all day long, chances are that your child will find it normal and will soon do so.

Help, watch and learn
Peel an egg, wash vegetables and fruit or spread bread. These are all ways to get your child engaged with food in a good way. If he has made a meal with you, then he probably wants to taste and eat it himself.

Don’t use food as a comfort or reward
If you do teach this, your child may later comfort or reward himself with food. And that in turn can lead to obesity. Prefer to play or dance with your child, read a book, sing a song. And cuddling together always works.

Also, don’t reward your child with other food, such as dessert, when he eats his vegetables. Your child may then start to think that vegetables are actually not tasty. And even if he doesn’t eat all of his vegetables, just have dessert as part of the meal. You can of course compliment or gift your child a ‘ stuff he we will really like ‘ if he has eaten his fruit or vegetables.

WHAT YOU SHOULD EAT EVERY DAY

Variety is one of the most important rules of a balanced diet. And it’s not that hard when you’re looking at the food pyramid. It reveals which foods should be on the table and how often.

Many people choose to eat a balanced diet. They want to get more energy and prevent diseases by changing their eating habits. But what does it actually mean to eat a “healthy” diet? The food pyramid of the Federal Centre for Nutrition offers a good orientation.

What is balanced diet?

A balanced diet aims to provide our body with all the essential nutrients. The right balance between the different foods is crucial for this. Ideally, three-quarters are plant-based: fruits and vegetables usually have few calories, but provide numerous vitamins and minerals. The animal content should be smaller but still available to meet the need for protein and fat. Carbohydrates may also be included.

The BZfE advises more variety on the plate. This means, for example, not just bananas or apples, but the whole colorful and diverse range of fruits and vegetables. In addition, the choice should be sustainable in order to protect the environment and, ultimately, the health of us human beings. The motto is therefore “regional and seasonal”: food that comes from the region and does not need to be imported by farmers, spares the climate and even often tastes better.

The food pyramid

In the food pyramid, the BZfE groups food in eight groups and on six levels. Symbols and traffic light colors make it easier for users to find out at a glance which foods should end up on the plate frequently and which are less likely to end up on the plate if you want to eat a balanced diet. Each building block also stands for a portion that everyone can measure with their own hand.

DRINKS

Drinks are the basis with six portions – that is, we should drink six glasses (equivalent to 1.5 liters) per day. Water and unsweetened herbal or fruit teas are best suited here. Also coffee (important: without milk and sugar), black or green tea are included. Cola or sodas, on the other hand, have too high a sugar and also calorie content and therefore count more as sweets. Milk and cocoa also do not fall into the category of “drinks”.

VEGETABLES, SALAD AND FRUIT

Three servings of vegetables and two servings of fruit a day make a good mix for a balanced diet – with many healthy nutrients. You can also exchange a portion of fruit for a handful of nuts and also schedule legumes regularly.

CEREALS, BREAD AND SIDE DISHES

Carbohydrates provide our body with energy. Therefore, four portions of cereal products (bread, potatoes, rice or even pasta) supplement the healthy diet plan per day. The best way to use whole grains in cereals is to provide important fiber.

MILK AND DAIRY PRODUCTS

In addition, three portions of milk or dairy products should be on the menu. They contain calcium, B vitamins and protein, which is very important for the body. If you get digestive problems due to lactose (lactose), you still don’t have to do without dairy products: firstly, there are whole supermarket shelves full of lactose-free products today, and secondly, some long-ripened cheeses such as Gouda, Mozzarella or Camembert contain little lactose by nature.
